After completing the exercise in class on the Archaeologists of the 3000s, tell us what you think future archaeologists will think of the year 2013, based on the items you found (what is important to this civilization?, etc.) Will the artifacts give them an accurate picture of your life? Explain why or why not.

I think that the objects the archeologists find will not give them a a accurate picture of what life was like because the artifacts the archeologists find could be something someone liked that was different from what everyone else liked and it won’t give a clear picture of what life was like in 2013.

I agree with you somewhat in the fact that the archeologists will not get an accurate picture of society today somewhat but much of society does actually wear name/athletic brands today and it can be seen that this is part of today's society.

I think that future archaeologists will think that 2013 is just a lot of Nike nice shoes and i phones. Also a lot of nice clothing and rap music

The future archeologists will think we're a shrek worshipping socirty that only wears things with checks(nike) on them, they'll most likely believe children run the world.

I believe that the objects archeologists find in the future (3,000’s), will not be an accurate representation of what life was actually like in the year of 2013. I believe this because the items found propose that the younger people have control over society. While archaeologists will believe this, it is not true adults are in charge. Also archaeologists will find many things relating to Shrek which does not show a good picture of what is really happening in 2013. Finally most books and clothing items found were used by children making them believe that most of society was made up of children.

I believe that if Archaeologists in the 3000s found the items we chose, that the items would not correctly show life in 2013. The Archaeologists might predict based on the artifacts that children dominated Lincoln and adults didn’t know how to read based on the book selection mostly directed towards the young adult audience. Also they make thing that Shrek and Nike where the most popular things when they weren’t the most popular.

I believe that the objects the archaeologists find will not give them an accurate idea of how life was in 2013 because the books that they found are intended for the younger crowd of people which will make the archaeologist think that Lincoln was ruled by kids.

Archaeologists will not get the most accuate look of Lincoln in 2018 because the objects generally consist of things that are for young people. They might even believe that our generation never grew old and/or there were no adults. The objects are inaccurate to our time period as our town does not evolve around Shrek.

I do not think that this is an accurate representation of our modern day society. For example not everyone wears Nike all the time or is obsessed with Shrek. Also, people might assume that only young people read. Next, it seems that all the movies are movies were directed to a younger crowd. People may think that the world was run by children which is not accurate. Finally, archeologist of the future can see that our music selection was very diverse and different groups of people had different taste.

I imagine that archaeologists in the 3000’s who find objects we use won’t get the right idea of what we were actually interested in, such as nike clothing, which isn’t the only thing that’s popular at this time. Finding these objects will give them the wrong idea that we dominate the town which isn’t true. They also can discover that our taste in music could vary between many genres, and as well as movies.

If archeologists from the 3000’s found our class’s list of popular items from 2018, they would probably have a very inaccurate impression of young adults today. Our list includes mostly Nike brand clothing, which suggests casual, sporty outfits. We chose all young adult books that would suggest younger people read more than older people. The book choices say a lot about people in 2018 because of the age group the books were written for. The movies, songs, and famous people we chose are also directed towards young people. All of our items that our class chose show give the impression that young people are the main focus of the area we live in.

I think that the people in the future would think that this world was ran by young people. Not everyone wears the brand Nike or watches/obsessed with Shrek. Also that some books and some movies are mainly for younger people so by the time people get old, they may think that they are not good anymore and that there is no reason to acknowledge them. Plus with some of the things that they will find like the Nike stuff, it won't give them an accurate picture of what life was like in the year of 2018.

I believe that archaeologist of the year 3000 will most likely think that the kids were in charge which they would be wrong. Also from most of the artifacts that are shown will get the archaeologist to think that we put sports first and in many cases those people would be right.

If archaeologists in 3000s were to find the items listed I think that they would believe that society in 2013 all wore very similar clothing with the bike symbol (check) and that most people worshipped an ogre named Shrek. But since most things were destroyed archaeologists only saw a fraction of a fraction of what life was really like and they are left to make assumptions that may not be true. And since they have such a limited view archaeologists wouldn’t get the right picture of life in 2013

If archeologists in the 3000’s found the items on our list they would infer some a lot of wrong information. They might think kids ruled the past but that is not true. They might also think Nike is the only brand and that everyone was obsessed with shrek. It would not be accurate to what is actually true today.

If the future archeologists of the 3000s were to find the items I think it would not represent the time period of 2013. The items will for sure be an inaccurate picture of our life. Most of the objects are more “child like”. For example, a lot of the items are shrek themed which would convince the archaeologists that kids rule the time period which is not in fact true. Also, they would think nike is the only clothing that exists. All in all, the future archeologists would think of our time period as a childish time which it isn’t. This would make our objects an inaccurate representation.

I believe that the items the archaeologist would found would be very bad at describing how life was in the 2000s and from our items the have thought that world was run by children and from that the new world in the 3000s would be run by children

i belive that the artifacts of 2013 will give a very accurate description of how the world was because our whole entire lives are pretty much revolving around these objects/people

the people that we now "look up to" are also not very good role models ie rappers so i believe that these people will think that we were a very bad generation which most people aren't opposed to admitting

The things the archeologists found will not give a clear picture of what the 2000s are like because there is so many key elements that we can’t fit into it. They will have somewhat of a picture but not a clear full one.
