After completing the exercise in class on the Archaeologists of the 3000s, tell us what you think future archaeologists will think of the year 2013, based on the items you found (what is important to this civilization?, etc.) Will the artifacts give them an accurate picture of your life? Explain why or why not.

No because they would only have been given only a small view point to that year

They would not have and accurate understanding of the way we live now because, all there would be left is the things that could last. Like the more expensive items and that isn't close to HALF of the things we use today. They would assume that younger people are the ruler because that is the way today's society is. Kids get there way or their parents have to hear it later, so the parents just give in.

Yes these artifacts will provide an understanding of our society because they are things that we use every day even if they can’t see what our society thought or how they acted these artifacts will show what we used to live what we did for fun and what we used for information

No because, people do not only use these materials, they use, higher technology, for example smartphones and laptops. These materials do not give enough information to figure out what people did on a daily basis.

The artifacts wouldn’t really give a huge insight on how we live because most of our stuff is technology. The things we use everyday are electronic and they wouldn’t survive 1000 years , so the archaeologists would understand what we listened to and what we wore but they wouldn’t know anything about our ideas and how we were trying to advance our society .

No, because these items don't tell you anything about what our government was like, our values as a society or types of people who were in power and if you wanted to rebuild our society those are important things you would need to know in order to do it accurately.

I believe archaeologists will think that this generation was mostly technology since most of our magazines show our phones, computers and tvs but it will be hard to preserve the technology since most of it will break and deteriorate so they might thing we were a boring generation or similar to past generations

I believe according to the artifacts that the archaeologists will not have a good picture of our life for most of the artifacts are based on the younger generation and have mostly what the younger generations are into. Meaning this only gives them a look of the year 2018 through the younger generations eyes in which is through types of clothes, technology, and music.

Yes because the artifacts they find will represent what our society or generation was like but it won’t tell them what we thought, believed in, or how we acted towards others or ourselves. Archaeologists have a hard job and what we left is not enough to represent the great accomplishments our society succeeded to do.

I say no because the artifacts found focus on only younger people not the older leaders of society. They would things from all generations to make an accurate discription.

No, the things we leave behind could me misinterpreted. With what with they have they could make inferences that are totally incorrect about our society.
