After completing the exercise in class on the Archaeologists of the 3000s, tell us what you think future archaeologists will think of the year 2013, based on the items you found (what is important to this civilization?, etc.) Will the artifacts give them an accurate picture of your life? Explain why or why not.

If any archeologist witnessed this year , they would be disappointed. This is because all their hard work they’ve studied, is gone. All their discovers is not being witnessed by the people of today. Nowadays, people of today’s time, the most useful tools for us is technology.

Archaeologists in the 3000’s will think that the society today is mainly centered around knowing everything. From the artifacts found, it can also determine that young people dominate the media although adults dominate the society. Young people like to boast and point out that they are superior in magizines and clothing brands but without adults, how would any of it be possible? The archeoligists could tell from shows like “13 Reasons Why” what life was like for an average teenager while also being exposed to problems teenagers faced. In conclusion, from the items found by archeologists, they could easily infer what life was like in 2018.

I totally agree with you on your opinion. I think young people need to realize that life isn't just about what to wear or what's the new trend of everything. Without older people, society would be very different, and not in a good way.

I believe that Archaeologists in the 3000's will think of the year 2013 as an ancient civilization. The artifacts will give them an clear picture of our life because the time period would be different and be full of technology. The people would be surprised to see the world in the 2000's based on the various and important things they are about to discover. The important idea about this civilization are the people, the people have shown to live different with much less technology comparing the year 3000's.

If archaeologists in the 3000's found these artifacts, they will get a pretty accurate depiction of 2018. Our generation is very obsessed with the gossip and drama of celebrities. These celebrities also greatly influence the ideas and actions of people. Brands use celebrities to promote their newest products. Seeing our favorite celebrities speak highly of these products brings the desire for them, such as the Louis Vuitton shoes. Archaeologists could assume that we are highly impressionable by the people we look up to. These celebrities we admire so much, such as Beyonce, are, for the most part, young. Future archaeologists could assume that the younger people of 2018 had a great impression and impact on that time.

I think that the archaeologists will think that we were less technilogically advanced than they are (of course because they are in the 3000s) and that we all relied on technology for everything from social media to research for papers and homework. I also think that these archaeologists could assume that we saw celebrities as god-like figures because of the praise we gave them and all the tabloids they could posssibly find with the latest gossip about famous superstars.

The archeologists of the year 3000, will look back on our generation and find out that we need to be in the know at all time. When we hear something with a celebrity we have to know where, when, why this is happening. When the next generation looks back at us they will see crime, and violence. But they will also see books and other forms of educational things. From the adults, they like to read more informational or educational magazines or articles. But the kids like to see what’s happening in the news or what’s hottest thing out right now. They will look and see that the adults are more worth studying

Archeologists looking back on 2018 with only a small small number of artifacts to base their conclusions on would get a pretty accurate description of what life was like.4 out of 5 magazines were People, which is mostly about celebrities and drama. This would tell them that the youth of 2018 is obsessed with celebrities and treat them like they are more than they really are as well as how we look up to these celebrities. From the clothing artifacts, you could say that the youth all had a certain fit that they had to obtain, since the clothing items were so closely related. Some of the major ideas in this society is living up to the fit they have to obtain, from clothing to music they listen to, to the people they look up to. The book artifacts say that the reading was not historical and geared towards the youth and what their society was like. I think that this is a pretty accurate description of what society was like because most artifacts told an accurate story that archeologists would be able to interperet and get a better look as to what life was like in 2018.

Archaeologists in the 3000's will assume that society in 2018 is particularly grim for the youth considering one of the books found, "13 Reasons Why", is about suicide and teenager difficulties. Other evidence that supports this view is the magazines that are plagued with exposing famous figures suggesting people relish spending their time reading gossip about others. Another thing Archaeologists will learn is that the youth seem to be obsessed with Brand names of clothing. 2018 will be seen as a year troubling for teens but also dominated by the youth considering the absence of adult influence within the evidence.

If any archeologist looked back onto the world this year, they would be very disappointed. All their hard work that they put into days and night of trying to invent things, is wasted because all society cares about is new trends, and doing exactly what celebrity's do, but future archaeologists could predict that the younger generation of 2018-19 had a mammoth impact on future generations.

Nine hundred and eighty-seven years from 2013, archeologists from 3,000 will wonder why we enjoyed books like “The Hunger Games” and “13 reasons why”. With evidence like this, archeologists will believe our era were run by teenagers. The reason for that is, adults now, aren’t seen wearing ripped jeans nor wearing Peppa pig underwear. However, adults are seen reading the Bible, which may cause confusion when observing these artifacts. These objects define our generation, the younger generation. Therefore, not giving an accurate idea of the older generation, although giving a good representation of mine.

If Archaeologists in the 3000’s discovered what our society was all about, I’m not exactly sure what they would think. I think it depends on what life will be like in the 3000’s. If their society is completely different then what it is today, then they would be disappointed maybe. They could also be proud and surprised in a good way. Society today focuses on youth, celebrities, the latest brands, trends, etc. Even if the society in the 3000’s is anything like what it is now, the Archaeologists and everyone living in that time might still be disappointed because of our main focuses.

I believe that this group of 65 artifacts will give the archaeologists of 3000 an accurate description of what the society of 2018 follows, but not how it is run. The artifacts show what the youth’s style is, what they read, what they listen to, and what celebrities they admire. Although this is very accurate, it gives no hint as to whether or not adults ran the country. It seems as though the society of 2018 is made up of and only wants to please the youth. The only artifact that might contradict this is the Bible, but if there is no proof of the Bible’s truth for them to find they won’t consider it a reliable source and therefore won’t believe what is written in it. So while these artifacts hold true to the society of youths today, they are missing an entire part of the country/life in general, the adults. Only finding these 65 artifacts, the archaeologists of 3000 will not have an accurate idea of what society in 2018 was like.

Archeologists in the year 3000, wpuld believe that the population of the Earth; at least in America, was vain and mad many beauty standers. While the 65 items found and recvered would give an accurate description about most of society today, there are plenty of other objects that had they been found could have given a better description. Based off of the 65 items discovered there is no indication of how America had been run or who ran it. The society of the year 3000 would have no idea if the youth ran the country or if the youth's elders did. The 65 recovered artifacts could give an accurate idea of the youth it would not be helpful for a more vast description of society in 2018. The artifacts show what the youths liked, i.e clothing preferences, taste in books and music, along with popular celebrities.

I think if archaeologists were to find the 65 artifacts, they would be disappointed in the youth of 2018. All they will find out is that we are obsessed with celebrities and the way we look. Also, when they find the books, they will see the messed up world that was before 3000. All the violence, depression, and snobbiness that goes on. But the archaeologists will not see all the politics and world issues that 2018 has. The artifacts they will find will not accurately represent the "whole" 2018 experience.

If archeologists in the 3000’s found our 65 artifacts, 2018 will be shown accurately. The artifacts show our life style, more the younger lifestyle then the older. Our generation craves drama, celebrity, fashion, etc... that’s what our generation has going for us. Our entire lives surround what we do in the public eye, what people will think if we wear/ say this. Our higher influencers are commonly ‘young’, such as Beyoncé, we look up to her as the youth. The state we are at right now shows that the young are socially running the world. Our books that we put out there, such as “13 reasons why” shows some of our young people’s mental state, as the book goes through the suicide of a teen. We are all held to standards from magazines such as People, which demonstrates gossip and luxury living. Most artifacts give an accurate story to follow that Archeologists will be able to go through, therefore archeologists in the 3000’s will be able to understand what our time is like right now.

If an archeologist in the 3000's were to find these artifacts, I believe that they would think we were very centered on younger celebrities and that we lack the use of manners. I also think they would figure out that technology takes up a tremendous part of our life. For the most part, I think these artifacts will give them a pretty accurate picture of our life. Most kids in this generation are obsessed with any young celebrity and try their best to mimic them. We also don't have the best manners which can be seen any movie or song because of the foul language, and also in articles of clothing because of the amount of skin they show. Anyone could also agree that we use our phones and some technology of some part throughout our everyday life a little more than we should.

My opinion is that if archaeologists in the future find objects or items from 2018 they would think we try to only look at celebrities and read whatever we make up. They would think we do not really care about news and information about our lives. They would never find out who is running the government and they could just understand what our lives were mostly based on, which means most of us do not want to know about the truth. They could would have found brand clothes and that means some of us care about our outside beauty more than our inside beauty. We care about what people look outside rather than inside. We do not search for their personalities and we try to look for their looks. The people living in 2018 are trying to mostly read about fake stories that are made up by people and they do not really enjoy reading news and they do not care what is happening inn the world.

I believe that archaeologists who found these artifacts would think that our society was ran by young people. More specifically, they would probably think that the books were based towards young-adult readers and were mostly fiction. Also, most movies, for example, were aimed towards young people, and songs were very upbeat, not something adults would enjoy. They would think that our style of clothing was pretty basic, and we used a lot of technology, too. The archaeologists most likely thought that technology was extremely important to our civilization. I do think that the artifacts accurately represented our lifestyles because each item tells a little bit more about what we enjoyed, how we lived, etc, and technology is very useful for us.

Archaeologists of the 3000s would have a pretty good idea of our lives now. The artifacts listed represent what kind of culture we like and who we really are as a whole society. The magazines listed would show the Archaeologists that we all are obsessed with young culture and celebrities. Also, Archaeologists would be very disappointing in society today because no one cares about working hard to prove something, they just focus on popular trends. The Archaeologists would get a good picture of what are lives are like in 2018.

I believe that archaeologists who found these artifacts will find that our life is centered around famous people. People in our era obsess over major celebrities or in other ways young people. Most of the books were stories about teenagers, all the clothing articles were clothing that is geared more towards young people to wear them. They most likely will think that our clothing is weird or crazy the same way we look at people from the 1900's. Also I think that they'll think our music is weird and our movies and tv shows aren't as good as it is in the year they live in. Archaeologists will look at our era the same way we look at the 1900's or 1800's. The only difference is we revolve our interests around young people where as they revolve theirs around older people.

If archaeologist were to find these artifacts then they would think that today’s society is based off of the younger generations, the books and magazines chosen were meant for adolescents and are about younger celebrities who everyone looks up to and cares so much about looks and fashion rather then what’s truly important. This just shows how people in the 2000 ‘s would rather know social aspects rather then things like the news and other non-fictional options out there. In our civilization brand named items and clothing are very important, many adults aren’t really concerned with that, again showing that its ran by the younger folk. Therefore if the archaeologist were to look at these 65 items they would be able to tell what kind of society we live today.

The archaeologists of the 3000s would most likely believe that today’s society was mainly based upon technology as well as the younger celebrities that we all look up to. After they review our 65 artifacts, they should surely get at least a brief sense in our current lifestyle. Archaeologists would be able to determine that we center our lives around young celebrities for the most part because of the types of magazines, songs, favorite celebrities, and even books that we all have listed. For example, many people listed “People” magazine as a magazine they read, which is mainly just celebrity gossip. Also, the types of artists and songs we listen to could allow these archaeologists to determine we mainly admire younger celebrities in 2018 and they have a huge impact on our lives. Nevertheless, they can predict that we used technology as our main source of information for almost everything and we relied on devices like laptops, our phones and television more than we needed to. As a result, archaeologists of the 3000s would be able to determine what type of society we currently live in.

I think in the year 3000, archaeologists will think through the artifacts, that the society was based on entertainment especially through the youth. For the magazines, most of them entertain adolescent audiences and only one informs. Not to mention the movies, music, and famous people. The world in this age, loves to distract people with things that are pleasing to the eye such as things that entertain. Therefore, archaeologists can deduce that the society today is influenced by pop culture and mostly run by the the younger generation.

The archaeologists of the future would believe that youth athletesism works of fiction and the lives of celebrities were an important part of history. The items found are not an accurate representation of today due to the lack of what people of the lower class owned due to perishing materials and the lack of the actual representation of the actual rulers of this country.
